Homicide in Mont Vernon 2: the mother of the man who was found shot and killed in his car in Cul de Sac is dead
On Wednesday morning, the woman killed in the parking lot of the supermarket, Leader Price, in Mont Vernon 2 is the mother of the man who was found shot and killed in his car in Cul de Sac on May 10.
Yesterday morning, this woman who was born in 1949, was getting out of her car to do her grocery shopping when an individual came from behind and shot her. Two shots were fired but according to the first elements of the investigation, the victim appears to have been hit by only a single bullet, in the head.
"It clearly was an execution", confirmed the Basse-Terre Public Prosecutor, Samuel Finielz. It was the sixth homicide in Saint-Martin since the beginning of the year.
The perpetrator escaped on a motorcycle. "The means implemented by the Gendarmerie have already enabled them to collect a significant amount of human and technical information that is being used by the Saint-Martin research brigade which is handling the investigation. The presumed perpetrator of the shots is reported to drive a motorcycle, is said to have worn a helmet at the time of the incident and to have used a handgun", indicated the gendarmerie which is once again turning to the population.
Any person who has not yet been contacted by its services and who would have information that could guide the investigation, identify the shooter or the vehicle used, is asked to dial "17" or to go directly to the station in La Savane.
Furthermore, the gendarmerie also asks individuals and professionals who have a private video protection system which films all or part of the street and who have elements that could be useful for the investigation to visit the research brigade station in La Savane in order to give the information.
