Louis-Constant Fleming hospital : a doctor is in police custody

In application of article 11 of the code of penal procedure on account of the false information published on social media, the public prosecutor’s office confirms that an investigation was conducted on Monday at the Louis Constant Fleming Hospital of Saint Martin specifically (with 5 judicial police officers and not 30) between 10 am and 1pm without incident, in the presence of a representative of the French Medical Board and the Public Prosecutor’s Office (in accordance with article 56-3 of the Code of Penal Procedure) as part of a preliminary investigation aiming at verifying the connections existing between a physician member of the medical board of the hospital and foreign organizations as well as a subsidized association under the possible criminal offence specifically classified as Conflict of Interest.

This doctor is currently in police custody and is subject to the rights relating to this measure and of course the presumption of innocence. He is being questioned by investigators of the research unit of the gendarmerie.
