A tropical wave about 550 miles southeast of the Cabo Verde Island

A tropical wave accompanied by a broad low pressure system is producing a large area of cloudiness and disorganized shower activity about 550 miles southeast of the Cabo Verde Islands. Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for gradual development of this disturbance during the next several days while the system moves generally westward at 15 to 20 mph.
