Marigot : 52 new illegal immigrants discovered on a catamaran

The french police used information on a human smuggling ring and inspected on Tuesday a catamaran in Marigot bay. On board were 52 foreigners in an irregular situation, among 7 children.

The 3 crew members have been arrested and placed in custody.

By the same time, the dutch coast guards have controlled a boat in Sint Maarten. On board 10 illegal people were discovered, 8 adults and 2 kids.

It is too early to say if there is a link between the both cases.
