Aline Hanson is deeply saddened by the loss of Hilda Roper
“I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Mrs Hilda Roper from French Quarter. Our Island has lost a bright woman, particularly involved in the community life.
On behalf of the Territorial Council of St Martin and myself I extend my deepest sympathy to the whole family. To her son Vernon Roper, Human Ressources Director of the collectivite, to her grand-children Paul Dollin, Director of Autonomy, Josiane Toucet, from the territorial police department, Emmanuel Fleming, from the Civil Registry. I also address our condolences to Jean Arnell, president of the CCISM, and Alain Roper with whom he manages Computech, and all the members of the family.
The Collectivite of St Martin, the Territorial councillors and civil servants, mourn with the family and thank this remarkable woman who devoted her life to the others. I believe we lost her but surely we did not lose her as a model in our life.»
